2c. Identify and describe selected historical periods and patterns of change within and across cultures, such as the rise of civilizations, the development of transportation systems, the growth and breakdown of colonial systems, and others.

 

Ancient Rome is one of the greatest civilizations in history.  Its empire streached far beyond the confines of present day Italy and ancient Roman influence still exists today in architecture, government and other aspects of society.  Before we discover Ancient Rome as a class, lets look at what we already know about Ancient Rome.  We have done KWL's before, in the discussion board below list one fact you already know about Ancient Rome and one topic you would like to learn about.  We will discuss all posts in class.
