Culture of Ancient Greece

Ancient Greek culture is rich and through the webquest below you will be able to explore this great civilization.
Introduction
Welcome to Ancient Greece! I hope you enjoy your stay here in this glorious ancient world. On your trip you will get to explore and participate in Ancient Greek culture.
Task
This trip will immerse you in Greek culture. The specific areas of culture you will explore are religion, art, entertainment and end your trip with attending the Olympic Games. At the end of your trip, you will create a powerpoint presentation which reflects your time spent in Greece. Have fun!
Process
You only have four days in this glorious place so make the best of it. Below is a travel log for you to fill out while you are there. We are all looking forward to hearing about your trip so be sure to write things down.
Day 1: Religion
The first stop on your trip is Mount Olympus, the home of the Greek Gods. The Greeks believe in many different gods, so there is a lot to learn. Below are links about the gods, as well as, the symbols and ceremonies tied to them. Read about each god and in your travel log make sure to record the symbols, myths and ceremonies tied to the 3 gods you thought were most important.

Day 2: Art
Greek Art has influenced art and architecture all over the world. Like many ancient civilizations, the Greeks built many temples. Below is a link showing the common designs used by the Greeks.

Day 3: Entertainment
I am sure you are ready for a little relaxation after building those temples, so today you can just take in a show at the theatre. Also, you are in luck! To show their appreciatation for building the temples, the Greeks have allowed you to go down to the theatre floor to meet some of the actors and learn about various parts of Greek theatre. Be sure to include in your travel log the types of plays they have, the parts of the costumes you saw and the parts of the theatre you learned about.

Day 4 - 9: The Olympic Games
While you were supposed to go home after today, you have the opporutnity to experience 5 days of the Olympic Games, so your trip has been extended. You are very fortunate to be here during the Olympic Games. Over the next 5 days, you will be able to follow the daily procedures as if you were one of the athletes! Enjoy your final days in Greece and remember to write about your experience in your travel log. Be sure to include one event and ceremony you experienced each day at the games.
